With Republican Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts, it's game over for America.
With only 59 Democratic votes (some of them only part time), nothing will get through the Senate. The Republican minority will filibuster everything to death -- and Democrats In Name Only will be running scared from anything with the slightest taint of "liberalism" about it. Heck, they do that now.
It would be different if the Republicans had any real alternatives to offer, but they don't. If 2000 to 2008 should have taught them (and us) anything, it's that their ideas don't work. You can only cut government -- and taxes -- so far before it …
